GOTS certified- Organic cotton
Geggamoja is today one of 40 companies in Sweden that are GOTS-certified. Our certificate number is CU number 836946.
GOTS is the most recognized certification of organically grown cotton. GOTS places demands on the entire manufacturing process, cultivation, harvesting, manufacturing and packaging. GOTS also contains social rules and requirements for all people who are part of the chain regarding e.g. work environment, wages, working hours and child labor.
Colors must be approved by GOTS and chlorine bleaching is not allowed. Factories must also ensure that there is functioning water treatment and a policy for taking care of slag products. The finished garment must not contain any hazardous substances. Packaging material for a GOTS garment must not contain PVC. Paper and board must be recycled according to FSC or PEFC certification. Annual independent inspections are carried out for the companies that are GOTS-certified.
In order for a company to be able to use the GOTS logo on your clothes, GOTS requires that you undergo their certification. GEGGAMOJA is one of the few Swedish children's clothing companies that has certification from GOTS.
In large parts of Geggamoja's range, GOTS is today certified - which we are proud of. We constantly strive to be at the forefront when it comes to sustainably produced materials on the market.
