Children's shoes

Geggamoja's shoes and boots are true to size or tend to run slightly larger. Our goal is to always have an updated size guide for all our shoes so you can measure the child's foot and compare. When the child starts walking, it's time for the first shoes. Remember, they should be a pair of light shoes so the child doesn't risk tripping. A higher shoe also provides good ankle support, which is beneficial since little ones are a bit unsteady on their feet at first.

FAQ - Common questions and answers about children's shoes

  • Place the child on a piece of paper and draw lines at the heel and the big toe – this way you have measured the length of the foot. It is important that the child stands firmly on both feet.

Also, do not forget to measure both feet! This is because the size of the feet can differ – and then use the longest measurement when choosing shoe size for your child.

  • Geggamojas shoes and boots are true to size or tend to run slightly larger compared to other brands. To be sure, we have listed the inner measurement of the shoes under each size guide. This is the measurement of the insole itself and does not include allowance for growth.

In any case, our aim is always to have an up-to-date size guide for all our shoes – so you can measure the child's foot, compare, and find a perfect fit.

  • Growth allowance refers to the extra space inside the shoe when buying a new pair of shoes. A good growth allowance is advisable when choosing shoe size because children's feet grow quickly, while also ensuring that the shoes are not too tight or that the child does not hit their toes.

We usually recommend a general growth allowance of 10-15 mm. When less than 5 mm remains, it is time to buy a new pair of shoes. For lined winter shoes and boots, 15-20 mm growth allowance is a good guideline. For sandals, somewhat less than that.

  • Since EVA material is sensitive to heat, you should avoid storing the boots near heat sources such as radiators or drying them in drying cabinets at high heat.

Let them air dry at room temperature to preserve the quality of the material.

Shoes and boots from Geggamoja

All-weather shoes

The shoe has a waterproof upper in mesh as well as a cushioned and slip-resistant sole that makes play safer. The padding around the ankle provides a comfortable fit.

Our all-weather shoes also have a Velcro fastening so the child can quickly get out and play.

As the name suggests, our all-weather shoes are suitable for all kinds of weather - and are also very light. For example, size 25 weighs only 412 grams while size 35 weighs only 630 grams.

Boots

Our all-weather boots come in two versions - with or without wool lining. Regardless of the version, these withstand all weather and are completely waterproof. In other words, our rubber boots keep your child's feet dry on rainy days, but also in colder winter weather with a thick sock as a complement.

The material Ethylene vinyl acetate (EVA) has an amazingly good thermal insulation ability. This is thanks to the millions of air cells in the plastic, air cells that collect air and are warmed by your body heat. EVA material products are generally made with good cushioning, heat insulation, and moisture resistance. EVA plastic is also completely harmless plastic.

Note! The EVA material is sensitive to heat. Do not store the boots near heaters or dry them at high heat in drying cabinets.
