Children's shoes

Geggamoja's shoes and boots are true to size or tend to run slightly larger. Our goal is to always have an updated size guide for all our shoes so you can measure the child's foot and compare. When the child starts walking, it's time for the first shoes. Remember, they should be a pair of light shoes so the child doesn't risk tripping. A higher shoe also provides good ankle support, which is beneficial since little ones are a bit unsteady on their feet at first.

Still wondering what size to buy? We're here for you! Contact us at kundtjanst@geggamoja.com or call 08-75 82 82 and we'll help you choose the right size for the kids.

FAQ - Common questions and answers about children's shoes

  • Place the child on a piece of paper and draw lines at the heel and at the big toe - then you have measured the length of the foot. It is important that the child stands steadily on both feet.

Also, don't forget to measure both feet! This is because the size of the feet can differ - and then base the shoe size choice for your child on the longest measurement.

  • Geggamojas shoes and boots are normal sized or tend to be larger in size compared to other brands. For safety, we have printed the inner measurement of the shoes under each size guide. This is the measurement of the sole itself and not including growth allowance.

Regardless, our ambition is always to have an updated size guide for all our shoes - so you can measure the child's foot, compare, and find a perfect size.

  • Growth allowance refers to the extra space inside the shoe when buying a new pair. A good growth allowance is advisable when choosing shoe size because children's feet grow quickly, while you also don't want the shoes to be too tight or for the child to stub their toes.

We usually recommend a general growth allowance of 10-15 mm. When there is less than 5 mm left, it's time to buy a new pair of shoes. For lined winter shoes and boots, 15-20 mm growth allowance is usually a good guideline. For sandals, slightly less than that.

  • Since the EVA material is heat-sensitive, you should avoid storing the boots near heat sources such as radiators or drying them in drying cabinets at high heat.

Let them air dry at room temperature to preserve the quality of the material.

Shoes and boots from Geggamoja

All-weather shoes

The shoe has a waterproof mesh upper and a cushioned, non-slip sole that makes play safer. The padding around the ankle provides a comfortable fit.

Our all-weather shoes also have a Velcro fastening so the child can quickly get out and play.

Our all-weather shoes, as the name suggests, are suitable for all kinds of weather - and are also super light. For example, size 25 weighs only 412 grams while size 35 weighs only 630 grams.

Boots

Our all-weather boots come in two variants - with or without wool lining. Regardless of the variant, these withstand all weather and are completely waterproof. In other words, our rubber boots keep your child's feet dry on rainy days, but also in colder winter weather with a wool sock as a complement.

The material Ethylene Vinyl Acetate (EVA) has an amazingly good thermal insulation capacity. This is thanks to the millions of air cells in the plastic, air cells that trap air and are warmed by your body heat. EVA material products are generally made with good cushioning, thermal insulation, and moisture resistance. EVA plastic is also completely harmless plastic.

NOTE! EVA material is heat sensitive. Do not store the boots under radiators or dry them at high heat in a drying cabinet.

Everything you need to know about rubber boots

  • Yes! Our boots made of EVA material are completely waterproof and effectively protect against rain, slush, and mud.

  • EVA (Ethylene vinyl acetate) is a super lightweight material with built-in air cells that provide both thermal insulation and shock absorption. It is soft, comfortable, and 100% waterproof.

  • They are primarily suited for spring, summer, and autumn. During winter, insulated winter boots are often needed for extra warmth.

  • Wipe the boots with lukewarm water and mild soap. Let them air dry – not on a radiator or in a drying cabinet, as EVA is sensitive to high heat.

  • They are incredibly light, which makes it easy for children to move freely. Additionally, the material provides both warmth and comfort – perfect for active little adventurers!
