FAQ - Questions and answers about children's hats

  • To ensure that your child is comfortable year-round, it is important to choose the right type of hat for each season. During spring and summer, thin cotton or bamboo hats that breathe well are recommended.

Autumn and winter require warmer options such as lined hats or wool hats to provide optimal warmth and protection. Geggamoja offers a wide range of hats adapted for all seasons.

  • To ensure that your child's hat fits well, it should be snug without pressing or slipping off. A good fit means the hat covers the ears and sits firmly without leaving marks on the skin.

Choose a hat with stretchy material, such as organic cotton or ribbed bamboo, to get a comfortable and flexible fit. Hats with adjustable elastic or ties are also good options for small children who move a lot.

If the hat often slips up or leaves marks on the forehead, it may be time to change size. Check the size guide at Geggamoja to find the perfect fit for your child.

  • The barn's heating regulation system is not fully developed, making them sensitive to temperature changes. A hat helps to preserve body heat, especially during colder months, and protects against wind and drafts.

For newborns, a thin hat even indoors can be beneficial to help them maintain a stable body temperature.

  • The choice of material in a children's hat affects both comfort and function. Organic cotton and bamboo are soft, breathe well, and are excellent for warmer weather. Wool is ideal for colder temperatures due to its heat-insulating properties and ability to wick away moisture.

  • To preserve the quality of your child's hat, it is important to follow the care instructions carefully. Generally, it is recommended to wash cotton and bamboo hats at 40 degrees with similar colors and let them air dry. Wool hats should be hand washed or washed on a gentle wool program with appropriate detergent to avoid shrinking and maintain the material's properties.

Detailed care instructions can be found on each product's label or on Geggamoja's website.
