Children's shoes

Geggamoja's shoes and boots are normal size or borderline larger in size. Our ambition is to always have an updated size guide on all our shoes so you can measure your child's foot and compare. When the child starts walking, it's time for the first shoes. Remember that it should be a pair of light shoes so the child doesn't risk tripping. Even a higher shoe provides good stabilization around the ankle, which is advantageous because the little ones are a little unsteady on their feet at first.

FAQ - Frequently asked questions and answers about children's shoes

  • Place the child on a piece of paper and draw lines at the heel and big toe - this will measure the length of the foot. It is important that the child stands steadily on both feet.

Don't forget to measure both feet! This is because the size of the feet can differ - and then use the longest measurement when choosing a shoe size for your child.

  • Geggamoja's shoes and boots are normal size or borderline larger in size compared to other brands. To be on the safe side, we have printed the inside measurement of the shoes under each size guide. This is the measurement of the sole itself and not with growth allowance.

Regardless, our ambition is to always have an updated size guide on all our shoes - so you can measure your child's foot, compare and find the perfect size.

  • Growth allowance refers to the extra space that is available in the shoe when buying a new pair of shoes. A good growth allowance is a good thing to try to achieve when choosing a shoe size because children's feet grow quickly, while you don't want the shoes to be too tight or for the child to stub their toes.

We usually recommend a general growth margin of 10-15 mm. When there is less than 5 mm left, it is time to buy a new pair of shoes. On lined winter shoes and boots, 15-20 mm growth margin is usually a good guideline. On sandals, slightly less than that.

  • Because the EVA material is heat sensitive, you should avoid storing the boots near heat sources such as radiators or drying them in a drying cabinet on high heat.

Let them air dry at room temperature to preserve the quality of the material.

All-weather shoes

The shoe has a waterproof mesh upper and a cushioned, non-slip sole that makes playing safer. The padding at the ankle provides a comfortable fit.

Our all-weather shoes also have a Velcro closure so that your child can quickly get out and play.

Our all-weather shoes, as the name suggests, are suitable for all types of weather - and are also super light. For example, size 25 weighs only 412 grams while size 35 has a weight of only 630 grams.

Boots

Our all-weather boots come in two versions - with or without a wool lining. Regardless of the version, they can withstand all weather conditions and are completely waterproof. In other words, our rubber boots keep your child's feet dry on rainy days, but also in colder winter weather with a fleece sock as a complement.

The material Ethylene Vinyl Acetate (EVA) has a fantastically good thermal insulation capacity. This is thanks to the millions of air cells in the plastic, air cells that collect air and are heated by your body heat. EVA material products are generally made with good cushioning, thermal insulation and moisture resistance. EVA plastic is also completely harmless plastic.

NOTE: The EVA material is heat sensitive. Do not store the boots under radiators or dry on high heat in a drying cabinet.
